All things new......

I know it's been forever since I've posted anything, but I'm determined to get better at blogging this year. Alot has happened since the last time I was on here. Makaylah was welcomed into our family on June 2, 2009 and has been the center of the family since then. She is now 7 months old....... and time has gone by so fast. I've posted a few pics to get a glimpse of her first few weeks of life. I'll post more pics separately and I'll definitely try my best to get better at this.

only 15 more days!!!!

I know it's been forever since I've been on here. We really haven't had much to blog about till now. Last Thursday, the dr. set an induction date of June 4th! So our little girl will be here in 15 days!!!! This has kicked us into overdrive to make sure everything is ready for her arrival. We are very excited and can't wait to finally see our precious little girl!

30 weeks and counting......

Well, we've hit the 30 week mark! I'm so excited that we only have a few more weeks till our little girl's arrival. Nothing new since the last blog, my next dr's appt is on Thursday, - so we'll see what he has to say. We did begin Childbirth Classes last week, which have been very helpful and gives us a chance to socialize with other expecting couples. I included a few pics from our maternity photo shoot that we had on saturday, it was lots of fun and I'm glad we had them done. Wishing you all a great day and a great week!

growing little girl....

We went to the dr yesterday for our 28 week check up. Everything is going good. The sonogram tech tried to get another good profile shot, but Makaylah wasn't cooperating. They did calculate that she is weighing in at 3 pounds 2 ounces. We start going every two weeks, so my next appt. is April 9th. Not much new to write about, we are just very anxious for her arrival! Till next time.....

Time is going by so fast....

It's so hard to believe I'm already at 25 weeks..... only 15 more till she makes her grand entrance to the world. We are both so excited that we can hardly stand it. We went to the doctor today and everything is on schedule. I love listening to her heartbeat..... such a gentle reminder of the precious miracle that she is.

We have finally finished registering for stuff, so know I have to work on getting her room together. So much to do ..... and time is ticking away! Well, I guess I'd better get back to work for now.

we're having a .......

Well, we had a dr's appt yesterday morning. The sonogram revealed that we are having a Girl!!!!! We are both so excited, I know she will definitely have David wrapped around her little finger! :) The dr. said that everything is going along just fine with no complications. Thankfully I've only gained about 4 pounds so far, even though it looks like i've gained more than that. Below are a few sonogram pictures.
I will blog again soon and let you know when we have completed registering!
Hope you have a great day!

as time goes by........

Well, well, well......... I've learned to do whatever you can to keep from being sick while you are pregnant.... the two don't go together very well. I wasn't feeling well over the weekend and just thought is was a usual sinus infection that I tend to get every year. As Sunday morning rolled around I was feeling absolutely horrible. I debated most of the afternoon whether or not to go to the ER, just to get things checked out. After taking my temp and it reading 101.8, David and I both decided to go the ER. After a few hours there I was told that I had Strep and I also had Bronchitis, at least he was able to put me on antibiotics and tylenol with codeine to help with the pain. So after spending the past 4 days in bed it was good to get out and about today.

Today was supposed to be alittle more exciting but due to the ice, things changed. We were supposed to have our sonogram today, but the Dr's office closed due to the road conditions. Like any emotional pregnant woman, I'm a little disappointed and very anxious to get next appt scheduled.

Well, that's enough babble from me for now. It's almost lunch time and this kid is definitely hungry.

Until next time......

it's been a while....

So sorry it's been while since I have posted a blog. This holiday season was a little busier than I expected. Christmas was great! Time with the family is always special. You'll notice our family christmas photo posted below, sorry if my smile is a little off...... it had been a long day. We didn't quite make it to get cards made this year but definitely next year!

I've hit the 17 week mark of the pregnancy this week, only a few more weeks and we can find out what we are having. :) We will be happy with either a boy or a girl ~ just as long as we have a healthy baby.

One bittersweet note, my grandpa passed away on Sunday the 28th of december. It's sad that he's gone but it makes me happy to know that he is with grandma.

I think that's about all for this blog, I will try to post again next week. Love to all!

so here we go.....

After many requests to start a blog, I'm finally getting it done. This is to help family and friends keep up with the ins and outs of our lives and to follow us along as we prepare for a new addition to our family.

For those that we haven't seen to officially tell........ we are going to have a baby in June! We found out in November that I was already 11 weeks along. As of today I am 13 weeks and 2 days, so the first trimester has gone by without any problems. I actually didn't really have morning sickness, I just felt like I had a cold that was taking forever to go away. The symptom that I've dealt with most has been the nausea. Thanks to Ashley, the pregnancy pops that she provided have helped put an end to the nausea. Pictures of our first sonogram are posted, it's hard to believe how much the baby was already formed at 11 weeks.

Christmas is right around the corner, it's so hard to believe there is only 14 days left. I'm looking forward to a week off from work to spend time with family and get plenty of rest.
Well, I guess I'd better get back to work. I'll do my best to update this blog as much as possible. Much love to everyone!
